Super takes place between the defeat of Buu and the absolute End of Z

I think the watch list for Super is:
Episode 1, 2
Battle of Gods movie
Episodes 14 (or 15, I can't remember) - 18
Resurrection F movie
Episode 28 onwards

The reason for watching the movies is because the first two arcs of Super are retellings

The End of Z can be watched basically immediately.

GT is alright, but it doesnt seem like it'll be canon.

i can repost the image if you want, but basically toei has really fucked with it and made it stray far away from what toriyama envisioned. like the base story is still the same, but the power scaling is fucked and there are a bunch of plot holes and other inconsistencies due to toei just not giving a fuck. also there's been a bunch of character degradation, the most notable of which is goku who's gone from a pure hearted man to literal retard in the anime.

Vegerot works better in English than Vegito because it doesn't rely on Japanese spelling that doesn't exist in most translations.

I mean because nostalgia I still love the original dub and I still get chills watching certain scenes, along with the soundtrack. To say it's better than Kai though, I don't get it.

I'm rewarching the original Z in its entirety and can without a doubt say the Kai version is almost universally superior. The only gripe I have is with Teen Gohan's voice actor, who is a lot better in the original. And the music, obviously. I would have preferred even the original Japanese soundtrack to what was in Kai (though in an ideal world, Faulconer's soundtrack + Kai pacing and voice acting = GOAT).

I gotta say, I still prefer the original Z over Kai. The music is just that bad.

Though so far for the Boo Saga, Kai is my preferred version.

the biggest problem with Kai is that whole music lawsuit in the Cell Saga

it ends up having the original Japanese music but with the wrong placements so it really sucks

like when Gohan goes SSJ2 it's just some boring generic background music instead of the special original song for that scene

Do the translations from japanese to english take less time for the manga? I didn't realise how far the english chapters were into the story. It's leagues better than the anime.

Also, did they fix the animation in the english dub or something? The reports of its laughable animation were greatly exaggerated.

they might be using the bd version for the english version, still doesn't look great though

also i believe the manga is being fan translated so they can usually throw the new chapter up within a couple days of it being released in japan.
