The negative effects of Dragon Balls was a cool ass idea and loved the Shadow Dragons. Baby was a good villain.

Super 17 was just meh.

It was cool how Hit had the respect for Goku to be like "hey man, I don't have to kill you if you don't want too".

I think it's pretty obvious who hired him, and we do have some spoilers about next week's episode

Vados hired Hit to kill Goku, but it seems that there's someone else behind her who did it. With the way Whis was acting, it seems like he was the one who ordered it, maybe to teach Goku to not fuck around

I don't like what they've been doing with Vegeta tbh. It's been happening all series and really ramped up in the last few episodes that they're just trying to turn him into a comedy relief character that always gets cheesed at the start of every major fight. He's pretty much got nothing notewothy about him aside from being that snarky strong guy that constantly acts goofy around Beerus.

It's a shame really, the end of Dragon Ball Z set him up for a fantastic development arc where he could start overcoming his bad guy complex and constantly being 1 step behind Goku and Super/the movies provided a clean slate where the shitshow that was GT didn't matter.

that's not at all true for the original run of the series and the old dubs.

while I do prefer the dub just because it's what I watched first, it's got a lot of problems and inaccuracies.

in 2017? well it may be true now that the dub is of comparable quality to the original version but it wasn't in the past.

There's some good filler stuff in the move retellings, Episode 1, 2, 15, 16 and 17.

Though for the main part of the arcs, I don't really care enough to watch them again, especially considering I have the films.
