The Elder Kai one at least makes sense because it was already established that someone trapped him in there


The Kaioshin-God link seems like it's foreshadowing something. Maybe Beerus will actually croak.

Either that or maybe in the absence of Supreme Kai/Beerus in the future, Zamasu and Black took the roles (which will be figured out and they use that to beat them both)

in the grand scheme of things, the Kaioshins live secluded away from all threats. there's not much reason to believe they would ever come under threat, and they don't need to be that strong to do their jobs since by nature they are for the most part non interventionist. logically they'd be linked to their God of Destruction to ensure a balance of power between destruction and creation.

and Whis would really not have had any reason to know what was happening with Majin Buu, it's not like he's omniscient. when Beerus is asleep, Whis is probably just chillin'.
