Not only that, but the alt needs to make 25 posts before they can even start to downvote members (not that it's that difficult to do). That's coupled with the weighted values for green and red Trust, so repeatedly downvoting someone is eventually going to do absolutely nothing.

If they want to go ahead and try it, though, I guess there's nothing stopping them.

Limit, in the mathematical sense, yes. The more tenured you are on the forums, the less and less individual votes affect you. You'll never reach the point of being immune to Trust ratings, but you can get damn close eventually.
