It makes a surprising difference in how clean a forum looks when the signatures are hidden. The same goes for all the profile fields, custom "titles" and status updates that are often floating under your avatar.

i agree, since the first forum i ever joined was a pokemon forum it was always people putting images of every pokemon team they ever had and it clogged up the forums. I was just curious. you can lock this if you want since theres not much to discuss.

Bnet had real signatures two site redesigns ago but they got moved to a drop down thing because real signatures are frequently obnoxious
