Again, you don't need to care about something to merely express your dislike for it.
Quote from: SecondClass on January 13, 2015, 06:51:28 PMAgain, you don't need to care about something to merely express your dislike for it.I don't mean 'care' in the generic context that you find interest in something. I mean care in it's most basic form, in that something affects you in anyway, in that you've given attention to something. When you feel annoyed by loaf then you've concerned yourself with him. You've paid attention to his actions and you've taken in enough of what he's done for it to affect you. Then when you take the time to point out how annoyed you are by his actions, you've concerned yourself with that annoyance. You'd given it attention and decided that Loaf needed to know how his actions have affected you. However, all of that is meaningless in the end. If you truly did not care then you would remain unphased and no annoyance would ever arise. You would never have felt the need to point out your annoyance and then you would truly be abiding by the comment, "I don't give a shit."

When you read a sentence, your mind and your ego forms opinions about it instantly. It could be as simple as agreeing or disagreeing with it, and annoyance is a subset of that.Taking that base judgment further, and actually getting worked up about it, is another whole level. And you don't have to get to that level to simply write a five second reply. I can honestly say, though, that I am getting legitimate concern over this conversation, hence why I'm writing many replies for it.

(Yes, whether or not you pester any or everyone you find annoying does not take away from the fact that you pestered Loaf as well.)The only reason this conversation has gone on for so long is because you tried to refute that for some reason, as if being accused of concerning yourself with him was something you didn't like. If that's true then just don't concern yourself with him and I won't accuse you of such. Otherwise, take what I said for what it is, me calling it like I see it, and go about your business.
If you think it's gone on too long, then don't continue it. Not that hard of a concept.

I don't think it really makes a difference. Maybe I'm wrong. If that's the case then I'm sorry, secondclass. I hope we can put aside our differences or something.

you might not remember this, but sometime in 2011/2012 harlow compiled a massive blacklist of "undesirable users" on bnet, people who would be rejected on sight in the member queue. he's not really the most level-headed admin when it comes to the interests of parity

There's no need to get all pissy and make a big deal over it like you've been doing.
I wish you wouldn't judge so much. I'm really not looking for people telling me I'm pathetic and my threads suck.
