Such a beauitful song, he really sings this from his soul. I looked it up and realized the song is being narrated from the point of view of his deceased mother. For those who don't know Kanye, his mother was the most important person in his life. So much of his work is dedicated to her. Listened to it again and fuuuuuark brahs it brings the feels, started to tear up and had to go get tissues lol. Went to hug my own mom after hearing it. Looking forward to the rest of the album.

i've heard some of his songs and this one, they're good but i don't see how people get emotional about it like they do.

All joking aside, he became massively more egocentric after his mother died. It's almost as if after the most important person in his life died, he coped with it by turning all that love back in on himself.
