Kind of. I live in an in-law apartment in the basement in my house. My grandmother used to live in it before she moved into a condo, then it was just sort of where I played video games and hung out with friends until my sister and her fiancé moved into it a few years go. They just bought their first house, so I'm down here now.

It's much more independent and I really like it, even if it is part of my house.

I've lived with some guys on my uni course for the last few years, but I move back in with parents this week now I'm pretty much done. Gonna be weird going back to living in a tiny little house without a desk.

Hmm...
Question for anyone who can answer. How fast is it to get internet setup in a new place you move into? When I moved in with my brother six years ago and the place I'm in now, they already had their internet set up and I just paid them for the usage. Whenever I do get my own place I'd have to get my own plan but I don't really know where/how to start.
I imagine it varies wildly from company to company. I'd say you would be at least 12 days without a connection. A technician will have to come and activate the connection. This depends on when the company will send him out and if he actually shows up on schedule.
It kinda just depends, yeah. I made it a priority to get moving on the process a couple days before moving in and I was only without it for a day before the technician came in to install the modem and such.

set up the order/transfer for your service before you actually move and make the install day your move in day but not too fucking early that you won't be there for another three hours after the fucking timeframe. If there's no major problems with the new address (inservicable, no prior UG drop, needs wallfish, etc stuff beyond normal tech duties) you'll be without internet for one morning entirely.
(though your Florida. If you're going xfinity they're bretty loose with UG temps so you can probably not worry about that)

We knew the world would not be the same.
A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita.
Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty
and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
"Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.."
I suppose we all thought that one way or another.

Having lived in a lot of apartments by this point, it varies. I've had it be same-day and I've also been stuck a week without internet.
