Do you celebrate your birthday?

My birthday is in two and a half weeks, and this will be the second time ever I'll be spending it with friends having fun. I never really celebrated it before because:

>Throughout school life, B-Day always landed on either the very first day or first week of school.
>First B-Day after graduating I was a literal NEET who laid around in bed all day while everyone else in the house worked/had school.
>Worked 12 hours shifts the next two B-Days

Last year was the first B-Day I went out with friends and had fun, I don't really count going out to dinner with my family as celebrating because we do that all the time anyways. It's weird seeing how things change in such a short amount of time.

When I was younger, my mom would always plan big events like going to the aquarium or resorts, but I don't really like big hueg parties or events. I usually get lunch with my dad, then hang out with some friends for a few hours.

That's how I originally felt, but when friends planned it for me, it was kind of nice to have everyone together celebrating something, with it just happening to be """my day""".

I'd have relatively big parties until I was about 12 or 13, and that slowly dissolved into having nice quiet dinners with my family, which I've grown to prefer.

Usually small dinners. Dont like being the centre of a party, never have.

Although nothing happened last year. Got some cash from my parents and that was it. Everyone else seemed to forget. So Im starting to care less about the celebration entirely.

I usually just go out for a meal with my parents and go to a museum or the cinema or something. This year I went to the Royal Armouries in Leeds with my parents and grandma. It was fucking cool.

I'm not really one for parties. Aside from a party-ish thing at the cricket club for my 18th (because i guess being 18 is special or something) where I met a bunch of my family I'd not seen for a while I've not had a party in years.

Yeah this year me and my friend are going to try to rent a cabin in the mountains.
In high school I would just ask my parent's to buy me tickets to dragon*con since it's the weekend before my birthday, and then we'd have the family and a couple of my friends over for a BBQ the following weekend.

my birthday's day changes every year, since i was born in february so for 5 years it falls on a weekday/school day anyways

Not particularly, like I'll just have dinner with family or whatever and that's fine by me.

I'll usually meet up with friends on a weekend that works for us all, which was only like 2 weeks after my birthday this year so that wasn't too bad but it's a bit of a pain trying to organise it anyway.

Weirdly enough I might, share the day with my lil bro. But as I will be in University and I do celebrate my friends birthday and get them presents, I expect them to try to celebrate mine. I also have to buy some gifts, actually need to give my two lil bro $400 for his birthday present.
