Do you care that much about being wealthy?

I never used to care much about being rich

I mean, I used to say ALL THE TIME how I wanted to be rich. And I sorta kinda believed it, but i realized it was only because society pressure you to be.

It wasn't until recently that I learned that I really DO want to be wealthy as fuck, and the reason why is so I can basically fund all of my adventures to mountains and beaches and islands and meditating with monks on Tibetan mountains etc. i don't actually care about fancy cars or houses or watches or clothing. Just adventures

I don`t really care about being wealthy, I rather care about getting powerful enough so I could live without money and survive in any kind of situation just by relying on my own powers.

In ten years I can see a reasonable chance of a household income of $200k+, which I think I'd be pretty damn content with. I don't really have a desire to be wealthier than that.

I don't care about accruing vast amounts of wealth itself, but the security of having it is more important.

After a certain amount of money, things are essentially "free", so you don't worry about them, bills, food, etc. What amount of money that is I can't say since the more wealth > the more possessions and more expensive they are > the more maintenance required to own said possessions.

Military aviation right now, wife's a nurse. 10 years down the line, both of us have master's degrees and I'm working for some defense contractor or flying commercial, she's doing management in some hospital, $200k is a solid goal.

I mean, I kinda want money and financial stability, but like, it's not worth it at the expense of my youth tbh. Current career goal is to find a nice 20-30 hour a week job to fund my hobbies and is flexible enough on hours to let me spend time with friends, family and getting out.

I'll never own a house and I'll probably struggle to provide for my family later on if my investing luck is poor, but I wanna fucking be there man I'm a human being. The only reason I'm not saying fuck the money and quitting my 50 hour underpaying job right now is because I'm a little bitch and also rent, debt and bills.
