And while destigmatizing people who suffer from these disorders is nice, it's not addressing the real root of the problem. Because of the whole social movement on behalf of TGs, and the fact that it's "bigotry" to see it as a disease, no real progress can be made on finding a medical solution. And what other options are there? If you mean psychoanalysis, that's required to begin the hormone therapy in the first place. That way people who are just seeking a form of escapism don't commit rash and permanent changes to themselves.
