Why can people only talk about deaths in the context of the career of the person who died? David Bowie was more than a musician just like Nancy Reagan was more than a first lady. Just because you like one's work more than the other doesn't mean that one death deserves to be cherished and the other mourned.

Mostly because we don't know then personally. I have no experience with Nancy other than what I've seen on tv. It's hard to care about a person you know nothing about.
