Interstellar is one of my favorite movies. Even better when someone cracks a Lincoln commercial reference at the perfect moment.

My stupidity is self evident.
It was good. A few plot holes maybe.

But the Internet being what it is seems a movie has to completely fucking bleak and hopeless for it to get any online acclaim nowadays.

And contrary to what some people(BadAstronomy) may say the black hole physics was good.(aside from the fact that Coop wasn't vaporized by the intense gamma rays of the accretion disk, but I may be over looking something)

Other than the paradox of future human race saving the past human race so they could do the same thing, I thought it was a damn good film.

Except it's not a paradox at all.

Yee.

It's a closed paradox loop. If current Humanity never survived, then future Humanity wouldn't be around to engineer the circumstances needed for current humanity to therefore advance as a species and engineer their own freedom.

If future humanity never set that wormhole for themselves in the past, they wouldn't exist because modern humanity wouldn't have made it.

Continuous paradox loop completely.

Except it's not. Future humanity made it because they had to make it and always WERE going to make it - the instant they made it to the fifth dimension, time is meaningless. They were always there, always have been there, and always will be there. They will always assist lesser humanity and they will always succeed - all because they are in the fifth dimension.

It's a scifi film that actually portrays the sound of space accurately. As in, no sound at all.

It really is quite amazing when the exterior shots of the ship are completely silent, no music, no SFX, nothing.

Pik up 'the science of interstellar' book of you're interested in that sort of thing. The guy who they consulted to make the film scientifically accurate wrote it and goes about everything in it. Good read

Other than the ending it was really good.

You can probably argue that the 'others' protected him going into the hole.

No spaghettification though :(

Just message me.
vienquitonm is my discord
It felt like a knock off "2001" at the end. Otherwise, the visuals were pretty damn good. I loved how they used Cassini images for Saturn.
