That would probably be because most of the movie revolved around a wormhole.

Those things suck harder than a dyson vacuum cleaner.

Hypothetical scenario down below.

The ending was not as hard to understand as people seem to think, but rather it was a pretty corny deus ex machina and equated to space magic
Spoiler
humans from the future have perfected time machines and made the wormhole for them but they need the Power of Love™ to make it work and cause the events in the guy's past to lead him to that point
nevertheless it did make sense send dispite the cheesiness of that i do think it was a good movie.

I imagine the movie has been out long enough now to make it cool to hate.

I still think it was good.

I liked it, although I found it hard to focus while watching it, similar to Chappie. I think it might have been the ambiance and soundtrack.

I neither fear, nor despise.

There were several parts without music, and its awkward when there are only 8 people in the theater >_>

I love how people get stuck on the whole "love" deal. No you fucking slow ass mother fuckers, that's Murphy's dad being sentimental and hopeful as he realises he's in way over his head inside of a 5th dimension construct. He went from shitting himself down into a black hole with no hope left to suddenly getting a surprise at the end of the tunnel.

That's him being happy that he got more than being atomized and a technical failure of the human race back on Earth. And Murphy, always had faith in her father.

"They" didn't need Love™ for anything. They just capitalized on the oppurtunity and the connection shared and the fact that Murphy had the mind to figure out the math.

Technically this entire scenario is a closed paradox anyway, and therefore at that rate Love™ falls completely out of the equation completely.

What the fuck is "extremely gay corniness"? There was nothing corny about the movie.

Also OP, Interstellar is a great movie. Don't listen to these half-wits, most of 'em hate it because they don't understand it.

If you really think that was the reason anything happened, you're literally a fucking retard and too stupid to understand Interstellar

Interesting scientific accuracy that hasn't been explored in any other movies, top-notch special effects, flawless performance from McConaughey, original plot and a great soundtrack. I liked it quite a bit.

Seeing it in theaters was amazing just because of the intensity of some of the scenes. The initial wormhole jump was honestly one of the best theater experiences of my entire life because of how loud and crazy it was; both conceptually and with how the effects and audio were handled. I'll be honest, I didn't quite follow the end of the movie with the whole fifth-dimensional causality loop, but I didn't care. The movie was extremely entertaining, so I loved it. Great acting and an awesome soundtrack.

Plus I'm a space dweeb so I was kind of biased towards it, anyway.

I said the scene was dumb and it was.

It's sad how you get so upset over a movie. Do have some gay fetish for Matthew McConaughey or something? Is that why you're so irrational?

It was implied. Anybody who mentions the love part is ALWAYS implying that.

I'm not being irrational, you are. You think lovespacemagic did the work.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Other than the paradox of future human race saving the past human race so they could do the same thing, I thought it was a damn good film.

Oh, also the constant "Murphs" were a tad annoying. The story and... most of the explanations were easy to follow, so I could lay back and enjoy the cool soundtracks and watch the surreal space shit.

Yee.

It's a closed paradox loop. If current Humanity never survived, then future Humanity wouldn't be around to engineer the circumstances needed for current humanity to therefore advance as a species and engineer their own freedom.

If future humanity never set that wormhole for themselves in the past, they wouldn't exist because modern humanity wouldn't have made it.

Continuous paradox loop completely.
