Do you live near you extended family?

I'm in the midst of booking a flight back to Ohio for either a funeral or a final visit with my uncle, depending on how the coming week or two goes.

It's easy for most of my extended family to go, since almost everyone lives in Ohio or Pennsylvania. But my parents, brother, and I are the only ones that live out in California, so we always have to travel back there for family events. Sucks because it costs just as much to fly 4 adults to Ohio as it does to Hawaii, and I'd much rather go to Hawaii.

Yeah, most of my family lives nearby (but a few of them are like 3-4 hours away by car).

I have a couple aunts and uncles within a few hours of me, the rest are either out of state or across the pond. Considering where I've lived previously, this is perhaps he closest I've ever been to any family in terms of location since I was eight.

Pretty much every member of my family (that I know about) live about within half an hour away.
The exception being my Nan and Grandad that live in Luton.

I live near most of my moms side.

My dads side is spread out along the east coast so they're not that far away.
