Hmm, decent idea. I'll do that if nobody else gives me a better idea. But on the other hand, I am living in the US, and there have been cases of people just being gunned down in the middle of the street in night where I live. Not meaning I won't take a walk though.

Kurds continued kicking ass, they kicked IS out of Kobane, and now they've retaken the vast majority of Kobane canton, and are still rapidly advancing. The Kurds and SAA/NDF (mostly the Kurds though) also took a look of ground in Cizire canton, and have now linked the western and eastern portions of it.

The SAA indeed launched a (failed) offensive against the rebels north of Aleppo. They got pretty damn near breaking the siege on Nubl and Zahra (and 40 SAA troops even managed to reach those two cities) which have been under siege by the rebels for 2 years. Though they managed to hold those positions for barely a day before the rebels managed to counterattack in force, and push the SAA back even behind to where they were before the offensive. And now everything west of Aleppo Central Prison is under risk of being retaken by the rebels. Hell, the SAA even managed to have Aleppo under total siege for a few days with that offensive, but now they have been set back by months. Here's a map.

Al-Nusra has adopted the tactic IS has been using before they declared all-out war with the rest of the rebels. Where they co-operate with some of them in some areas, and the seize the land from weaker factions. They've been playing that game since November, and now they have partial or total control of over 50% of Idlib Governorate. So they do have a good deal of land. Possibly more than any of the other rebel groups barring IS.

And with Ukraine, it's been a stalemate. Debaltsve was taken by the rebels, but the ceasefire is largely holding. Better than Minsk I at least.
