All they wanted was to start a little MUTO family of their own, but then this faggot lizard turns up and kills them without even eating them.

If you take the movie at face value and don't expect it to be Pacific Rim 2.0 then you'll probably enjoy it more. I find it's more of a disaster movie rather than a monster movie, and that's not necessarily bad.

An ISIS beheading video is better than the 1998 film, it's not really hard to beat.
