So my teacher gave me this for extra credit which I need

"Identify at least five different ionic crystalline structures with different coordination numbers, make sure you explain how the atoms “fit” together relating atomic radius and structure."

I've been searching for an hour and nothing has been able to explain it to me in terms that I can understand

Please help  :S

This works 90% of the time.

Sounds like 5 different metallic/crystalline structures, you have to give the coordination numbers(I'd look that up in your notes), and explain the shape of each ionic structure(how the atoms are bonded in what order and how far apart they are from each other)

Coordination numbers? Is that what you call Electron Shells?
