Did I miss something, or did Randyll Tarly help the lannisters take over Highgarden after saying he was loyal to the tyrells in the last episode?
No, didn't you hear Olenna? Because their sigil is a flower, that means they are weak and can't fight because flowers are gay

When Jon was talking about the White Walkers, why didn't Tyrion tell Dany about Ser Alliser going to Kings Landing and talking about the same thing? It still wouldn't have moved her but it still would be worth bringing up since another person from the Knights Watch went all that way to tell their tale.
'cause it's a dumb thing to bring up

"I am the last of my blood/family"
lmao no, Azor Ahai is right in front of you

It was funny how they didn't hype up Jon Snow so much, but let's be real, so far he's the character with the biggest- lowkey- hype of them all.
Spoiler
Jon Snow, raised as a bastard 'cause his father didn't want anyone to know that his mother was Lyanna Stark and his father Rhaegar Targaryen. Jon Snow, he went beyond the wall to unite the wildlings with the people inside of the wall, and on his way there he slayed a white walker. He comes back but is killed, then he is brought back from the dead 'cause he's Azor Ahai. If Dany were to die, he would be the one Targaryen left that deserves the crown. As a Stark he deserves to be the king in the north, and as a Targaryen he deserves all of the kingdoms.

Once Jon Snow comes back, someone's gonna say Bran is the rightful ruler, and Bran is gonna reveal the truth to them about Jon Snow's parents.

Yes Tyrion hates him, but he also likes Jon. He knew Throne went to Kings Landing to talk about the "Dead Rising" so he should have brought that up to give Jon a small bit of credibility. It's nothing more than shitty writing due to the writers thinking the viewers are too dumb to remember anything from the first season. It's the same reason why "Little Fingers dagger" was never brought up again and Tyrion's wife is forgotten.

One gripe I have is the way characters just seem to teleport across the continent. I suppose it's been getting worse every season but it just feels really bad now. I don't know how Bran made it to Winterfell before Arya.

The more I think about how Olenna Tyrell and her army got dealt with in such a quick and easy way, the dumber this whole show seems to me. "Fighting never was our forte". So how were they ever valued as a military ally in the previous seasons if they could just be destroyed using zero effort. Despite the fact that Jaime had to siege one of the major castles in the show, he still manages to get it done immediately and presumably without any loss to his army. It seems like the sizes of everyone's armies are being left intentionally vague and undefined so that stuff like this can keep happening regardless of logic. Cersei is just going to keep implausibly gaining the upper hand to increase the "drama", until Daenerys inevitably wins in the end despite all odds.

Yeah you have some sort of problem. Maybe you're on the spectrum, or maybe you stopped growing normally due to bullying or something, but the way you think just isn't right. It's too direct, and doesn't see the whole picture, or small consequences.

I figured the main bulk of the Tyrell's were with Dany on Dragonstone at the time. They could've literally just said that and I wouldn't have had a problem with it, but for some reason DABID had to go with "the Tyrell's are essentially just pussies lmao".

Even then, there's no rationality behind taking a fortified castle in a day, army or no army. I can buy the whole "learning from our mistakes with Robb Stark" tactical move but storming a castle within the space of a couple scene transitions just reeks of bullshittery.

BUT THERE'S ONLY SO MANY EPISODES LEFT JUST DONT THINK ABOUT IT

No all the episodes don't take place in the same timeframe anymore so that excuses any time disrepancy there is.

Why is it that I'm the only one in this topic which you're attacking for questioning the written of the show? I'm doing the same exact thing just like anybody else in this thread and the two others before it. This whole thread is filled with people questioning the writing of this episode and the ones before it, so why don't you go start shit with them as well for doing the same exact thing as me?

For the attack on The Rock we seen the Unsullied storming it, for Jaime on the other hand we just seen his army marching up to it. There weren't any battles scenes so off screen Jaime would have taken losses. Now for his army in that marching scene, I'm thinking they were separated into groups for attacking High Garden on all fronts. The seen with Jaime in it is just the group he was with. So the total amount of soldiers off screen was larger than the group of soldiers we seen on screen.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
At this point I've lost all interest in the narrative there's just no point to any if it the writers have dropped all sense of continuity and just make stuff up on a whim, I am a sucker for fantasy though so I will finish the season because the production is really good.

I'm thinking they made Randyll Tarly the Warden of The South for switching sides.

I don't think it was necessarily the Tyrells themselves that were a great military strength.  Mace rode the coattails of Randyll Tarly's victories, and the Tyrells pretty much just have food and gold to their name.  The real power is with Tarly (and, in the books at least, House Hightower), though I think he was wayyy too eager to switch sides.  I know in the books he may be getting pissed off from Mace snubbing him and stealing the glory for his battles, so the books have at least that going for them.

Show Tarly..he just kind of agrees to side with the Lannisters.

Tarly is known for being a great commander, not containing an essential portion of the Tyrell army, which in the books is by far the largest army in the realm. Logically speaking the liege lord would make up the largest portion of the kingdom's army or else they probably wouldn't be the liege lord. To believe that the army is effectively useless without Randyll is a pretty big leap but I might be willing to look past it if they had bothered to give this as an explanation. As it is, this is some of the most Dabid-tier writing the show has ever done imo.

True, so unless they say that Olenna left some forces with Dany while keeping a sort of Honor Guard for herself, and Highgarden's defenses just being common levies with very few experienced fighters then they pretty much just brushed the Tyrells away with a whimper, which is pretty disappointing.
