last weekend a group of close friends and i took a fat road trip from here in southwest Florida to Baltimore, Maryland for a 2 day music festival. while we were super stoked for the festival, one could argue we were equally excited to finally get the chance to visit Philadelphia and feast on an authentic Philly cheesesteak.

let's just say i finally understand why It's Always Sunny is so goddamn funny. literally every person i spoke to while i was there was an asshole, and i was straight up called a faggot for wearing a tie-dye shirt. to top it all off, the spot we went to for our cheesesteaks charged $10 for maybe a 6 inch sandwich and it did not blow me away in the slightest.

moral of the story:  fuck philly

And they tell me to keep most condiments off.

Street vendor steaks are way better than the "authentic" ones, but they cost about the same.

we didn't spend enough time there to actually head into the thick of the city, but just enough to ask Siri who had the best cheesesteaks in philly lol

I actually live in Annapolis and go to college in Baltimore. but I've spent the summer about 2 hours away from Pimlico helping my mom build a new house

well other than being called a faggot by a random passerby, there was more road rage than I'm used to and I grew up in the Miami area, so that's saying something lol. Also the customer service at the cheesesteak joint we went to was trashy af
