"Of course, right now the superhero movie is alive and thriving. I'm only saying that these cycles have a finite time in popular culture. There will come a day when the mythological stories are supplanted by some other genre that possibly some young filmmaker is just thinking about discovering for all of us. We were around when the Western died and there will be a time when the superhero movie goes the way of the Western."-Steven Spielberg
the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
Honestly, with how Capeshit killed vampire and zombie garbage, I'm thankful to it and they can continue indefinitely for all I care.
but now it is the vampire and zombie garbage
At least Marvel is consistently good. Even their worst (Iron Man 2/3, Ant Man, Thor 1/2, etc) are better films than DC's best.

There's only like 3 entries into the DCCU thus far, whereas you have 14 in the MCU as well as myriad TV shows and spin-offs. Not really a fair comparison.

Not really a fair comparison. It shouldn't be a fair comparison for Marvel. They've had a lot more time to produce crappy sequels and spin-offs, whereas DC's three films have all been the result of massive budgets and advertising. Maybe less so for SS, but they've all been some of the biggest releases of the year. The fact that all three of their films in the DCCU have been tremendous flops says a lot.

MoS made 668 mil, BvS made just shy of 900 mil and Suicide Skwad made 745, not to mention the audience scores where much more lenient than the critics. Just because they didn't shatter the box office or get 90 plus with the critics on RT doesn't render them flops.I haven't seen SS and I don't think intend to given some of the reviews from both critics and YouTubers but I don't think it's fair to write them off as catastrophic failures just yet.

RT scores or profits don't really quantify whether a movie was good.
Vampire and Zombie shit were significantly worse. I can at least watch a Marvel movie and not cringe. The general outline of the plot may be formulaic and uninteresting, but it doesn't make me go "God really?" unlike a vampire film. I remember one about six years back where society was nothing but vampires and they farmed humans for blood to drink. The whole idea of the film was just awful, but that was the norm before The Avengers came and made a billion fucking dollars. that was a good movie tho
Man of Murder
Grimdark capeshit is objectively the only capeshit worth watching.
