Feels like it's time to re-inject a bit of culture into this decadent, capitalist forum.

I'm currently just about to finish the first volume of The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith, which I've been reading for far too long. I'm also reading Christopher Hitchens's memoir, Hitch-22 and a biography of FDR.

On a side-note, I've also ordered a biography of Napoleon.

Ugh I haven't had the time to invest myself in reading as of late but I really want to give Nova Swing a read through. The premise intrigued me enough to pick it up a while back but i didn't like the cover so i didn't read it when i could

More of a guidebook-bible for first year geologists rather than a book to recline and enjoy, but still interesting nonetheless.

Fantasy work:
The Iliad and the Odyssey (again)
The Once and Future King
probably something else I can't remember

I'm considering Walden and Robinson Crusoe over break.
I think I'll try some of the authors and works the Flood recommends additionally.

Hmm, well I'm currently reading a biography of Churchill's soldiering days and wartime leadership stuff which is quite interesting. And it covers his time in the Boer war which has me agitated to find a certain book that my school's library had as I'd like to read it again, trouble is I have to rely on my scatter brained youngest sibling to ask the librarian for me and it's... ugh... I even wrote out the ISBN for him but he just lost the piece of paper.

I finished rereading the Gaunts Ghosts series a couple of weeks back, it must be the 16-17th time I've read them too <_<
I wish abnett would hurry up with the new book too. It's been a few years since Salvation's Reach came out >.>

I'll probably be reading the Horus Heresy again soon too (30 goddamn books so far)

It doesn't have that much to do with not having the time, it's more about not feeling like it. When you spend 8+ hours a day reading through textbooks, court rulings and contracts, the last thing you feel like doing afterwards is sitting down to read some more. I don't really have any free days either. I have classes every weekday, and any time in between and the weekends I have to spend studying more.

This makes me laugh because I actually prioritise recreational reading.

Wow, you're not even to the good ones yet.

That's what I'm told. Really bugs me out. Doesn't help with my attention problems, takes me around 10 minutes to get involved in the book then I'm reading it for the whole day.
