Some people look dweeby, some look smug, some look like they practice in a mirror. Regardless, the term (like most lingual shorthand) refers to certain traits that the average person attributes to expression (facial or chosen, such as hairstyle or accessory choice) because of inherent biases created by the media or personal experience.Like tbh the perfect example of this definition is in this thread, where Verb (wrongly) believes Adam Scott has a punchable face, which is the result of his experiences both personal and from the media (maybe he watched Step Brothers one too many times, idk)

My b if so, I'm not always great at expressing my points. And I'm fine with thoughts, so long as they don't become actions or calls-to-action

So you are the most hardcore communist I've ever talked toand believe Martin did nothing wrong๐ค
Even then, I could argue the "punchable" bit too. While Shkreli is an evil person, I would personally feel he's been wronged if he was hit outside of some pre-agreed action (for some PR charity or something).Point is, it doesn't mean that you want a person to be punched, it's just a cultural way of expressing the idea that they exude the very concept of being a terrible person.
the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
I use thoughts, not hormone driven emotions.
thoughts shouldn't be crimes or anything like verb thinks, but holding some thoughts is definitely unethical in and of itself
Thinking someone has a "punchable face" (only in parentheticals

Quote from: Annie on June 15, 2017, 01:21:20 AMthoughts shouldn't be crimes or anything like verb thinks, but holding some thoughts is definitely unethical in and of itselfDisagree. Thoughts aren't conscious; you can have thoughts and simultaneously disagree with them. Penultimate example is OCD, even more specifically Pure-O OCD. Thoughts are the result of the unconscious mind, which deliberates upon all things regardless of a person's ideologies. Thinking someone has a "punchable face" (only in quotation marks due to the nature of the conversation) is not something someone considers on the conscious level, but the unconscious level.

You don't disagree with me. See how I said "as soon as you realize". Even if the thought is unconscious, it's still a bad thought, but you aren't bad until you identify the thought and don't fight against it.

Okay, that's a subject on its ownbut then the whole Wu-Tang album happened after that, plus his offer to other artists to have the sole ownership of their musical creations. After all that, his arguments about the pharmaceutical fiasco seem fabricated at best.

Since it goes along with the idea of thought vs action as well, I don't care if he "embraced" his villainy; the appropriate thing would have been to own up to it and then be better from then on. Instead, he said "whatever" and continued to be awful. Realizing you're shitty isn't enough, you should at least make some effort to be less shitty.
is it not understandable how he'd react in such a way
