Not much of a fan of the Marvel stuff, but this? A superhero movie not marketed at 10 year olds? Would consider watching.I'm still remaining apprehensive. Hack Snyder is particularly good at marketing his movies really well. Just take a look at The Watchmen and MoS trailers. Executing the actual movies however, is a different story.Watchmen was one of the best "superhero" films ever made...No no no no, Watchmen was based on one of the best Superhero books ever. The movie was just a steaming crock of shit. Jackie Earl Haley as Rorshach was cool but...that was about it.

Batfleck's line is actually a really good piece of dialogue to end this on. I don't get you people.

I don't get you people.Because his Batman voice sucks.Sure it's a good line, but it's the delivery that counts.AFFLACK just sounds like he's deepthroating someone compared to Bale's smoker's throat.

The Avengers is a shit movie because it's a shit movie, not because it's kid friendly. It's possible for Batman to both be campy and dark, and both are acceptable if done right. I'd argue that Spiderman (raimi ones) was kid friendly but they were some of the best capeshit movies ever made with the exception of the shitty third.

Not much of a fan of the Marvel stuff, but this? A superhero movie not marketed at 10 year olds? Would consider watching.Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron are hardly for 10 year olds. While Winter Soldier was a bit better than the others, I still find it hard to think of them as anything other than movies aimed at a much younger audience. There's hardly any serious themes that require much thought, it's always black/white, the movies are extremely predictable, the violence is the kind that has been carefully constructed as to not upset anyone and the ever prevalent little quirks and jokes undermine any serious tone the movies could have. While saying that they're all aimed at 10 year olds was a bit too harsh, I can't consider any of them as actually serious or adult movies.

I just think if you only want dark and gritty then you shouldn't watch capeshit movies. They aren't for you, clearly.

I can't even wrap my head around why you'd say this, as it's literally no different from telling someone who prefers slower and instrumental music over rap or heavy metal that their mentality is shit. Unlike what you're seemingly accusing me of, I never said all of the more light hearted movies are pure shit and not worth watching. I'm simply stating my own preference and making clear why I did not enjoy most of the Marvel movies much.
