I've been drawing girl faces for 2 years. It's time to start drawing bodies. Gonna have to find some good references. There's tons of pose sets to do art studies of but finding good refs of real nude models so you can study the actual 3-D forms of the human body is more difficult. I can start reading the books I have, at least. One of them is pretty excellent.

How big are your drawings usually? 🤔

well i have a small sketchbook with this great toned tan material that's 5.5 x 8.5 inches
i did this one it:

my other ones are usually 9 x12 or 11 x 14

and then i have the gigantic 18 x 24 that i'm working on now

I think I'm finally starting to absorb Toryiama's style. Muscle and hair placement is still off, but facial features are coming along nicely.

more original stuff from yours truly. i've noticed the "curve" in the eyebrows and eye lids really adds something old school and authentic to the look. as for the positions and angles, i've made huge progress on that front, at least with the face. still working on the should and chest.

Some realism. I marked a few key points for this sketch and referenced the rest. Is that cheating? Whatever idc I'm just trying to work on my visual library anyways. I definitely need to do more realistic portraits. Probably gonna draw Jordan Peterson next.
