Looking into making a desk to replace this tragedy of a setup.

I want to make a desk that will fit in the corner and have space for 1 main monitor a second monitor on the left and a laptop on the right. I want to make it a standing desk as well and have a keyboard tray, cable management tools, semi-integrated USB/Power ports/holes. A whole bunch of stuff. I'm going to sketch up some designs over the next week or so and figure out the size I would need for a desk.

Anyone here know anything about making things like this? I want to get into doing this with my own two hands and make something pretty nice to go with my stuff.

Don't countersink. Counterbore then plug. Hides the holes, looks more professional.

If you know, you know.
I made a table and a stool

I can tell you that it all begins with a plan. Roughly sketch on what you want to make. Make a blueprint. Make all the measurements and fit your design to them.

I know that a desk isn't a simple concept at all, which is why as a novice I want to figure it out.

Like the others said. Before you do anything you need a plan of assembly.

Or, for instance, you can use something to your advantage. Those two desks in your picture. You could set them up in a manner that you want to see a full time desk. And measure their bits and pieces.

Essentially, you could copy pasta the original two desks, replicate them into something better, take the old parts of the now defunct stuff, and reattach them to where they need to go.

Tried to make my point, having difficulty right now.

I'm going to measure out a whole bunch of things. Height, length, depth, and then draw rought sketches to see what I would like it to be like.
I'm going to use Painter's Tape to also create a visual representation on the floor and walls to show me how big it would be.

I also need to figure out the best way to assembling it to make it so that I can break it down should the time come without having to make another desk.

I will probably go to Home Depot and see what they offer and how much some things cost there to get a VERY rough estimate of costs and then look into the local sellers and talk to my father's friend to see what he thinks I should do because he has build a couple desks and is a carpenter.

A flower which blooms on the battlefield
It's not that difficult, really.
A blueprint, good quality wood, a few tools (drill, hammer, saw, wood glue, sander) and you're set.
