Of course a lot of people put on a facade. It’s very hard to find people who are real. But it’s just not the same. You’re not having any physical interactions or seeing them and all that entails. You can’t play sports, have something to eat watch a movie etc. It’s just not the same at all. Even playing a video game with someone online isn’t the same as a friend sitting next to you. There’s a reason there’s such a high demand for virtual reality.
i haven't engaged in any physical activity with my friends since we were small children, especially not sports, and i wouldn't say i'm too nostalgic about those days either
i suppose if you're actually into that sort of thing, then being able to see each other physically is still an important thing, but i'm simply in a position where i cannot relate at all to that desire
it's interesting that you bring up virtual reality, though, because i've always said that the better virtual reality gets, the more indistinguishable it will become from reality, and therefore, the closer any divide there may be will come to completely vanishing, because you won't be able to have these hang-ups anymore
hence the term virtual reality--reality by virtue, or the only things that really matter
