Which OS do you prefer for smartphone and tablet computing?

So you're asking me whether I'd want to have a dildo repeatedly shoved into my eye then my ass then my mouth then my ass again, or Android? Tough choice.

Definitely Android. I despise Apple as a company.

I don't blame you at all.  In their unmodified state Apple products are more locked down than Alcatraz. 

I like both, apple is good if you like taking pictures, android is more customisable.

Flashing your device with CyanogenMod is a good route to take since it's totally free and can prolong the life span of your device.

IOS, the UI is better, it's not as bare-bones as android and everything is optimised, and very fast. It's just a beautiful and practical OS, customisation outside of backgrounds doesn't bother me. Only downside is no Flash support.

There are launchers you can download and install icon packs for.  You don't have to use Samsung TouchWiz on your Android or the default icon theme.

I get the vibe you dislike android just because it's the other major mobile platform. Widgets provide quick access information and look pretty sleek, you're just nit picking and making stuff up. Whether they leave space is up to you, there are larger widgets such as mine to cover up more space. The possibilities for your homescreen on android are endless whereas on the iPhone everyone pretty much has the same looking screen.
