I fell asleep watching 3 and have yet to watch resurrection.

Alien 3 was really good though.

Eh I can understand the appeal what with Fincher attempting to recapture the tone of the first movie even though I personally didn't enjoy it. Killing off Newt and Hicks was a bad decision though, IMO, not to mention the poor send off Ripley got.

Alien Resurrection is a piece of shit though, I think we can all agree on that.

if it werent an Alien movie, sure. killing off Newt and Hicks at the start kind of made everything that happened in Aliens pointless, and that's a really shitty way to start off your movie... the idea of a monster infiltrating a space prison is really fucking cool, though.

There were two Alien movies after the second installment? What are you all on about? This is sounds more redundant than the lot talking about a movie that was supposedly made for Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've seen the Avatar movie, but the blue people were confusing.

I keep hearing people talk about a Dragon Ball movie and a prequel to Alien called "Prometheus," too... where do these people get these strange ideas? Maybe WE should make the Dragon Ball movie!

I think it was a really bad decision. The very nature of the 2nd film makes it very hard to be be scared by a lone Xenomorph. Cameron's film turned Michael Myers in space into a more typical action movie villain. Rather than trying to make up for this, they really should have gone in a new direction.

Ugh here we go. "NOD MUH DROO HORUR" I really don't see what the big issue is with expanding the already established universe, upping the ante, and adding a more cinematic value to the film that was never there in the previous one. Yeah sure, it's not scary or atmospheric, (not that the first film was entirely scary anyway, but I guess that's just an opinion) but the whole reason the Xenomorphs are called Xenomorphs, and the fact that we have all this contemporary science fiction that was took inspiration from the franchise (including Halo) is because of Aliens.
