OK, if you have been following, you know that my 15 year long marriage is in ashes. Ex-Mrs Charlie has for all intents and purposes left me for another man.

I am in the position that I have to get another job to be able to keep the boys lifestyles the same, and we have to wait 6 months until we can make anything official.

I found out all of this two weeks ago tonight.

So, I told her that I would leave right there and then if she went to go see him. My reasoning is that I won't babysit for her while she goes off to continue her affair. She says that I am trying to hold her back from starting her new life.

She relies on me to care for the kids. If I go, she will have to hire the nanny full time, have her move in, in order for her to continue seeing the guy. She is incapable of caring for the kids on her own.

No, you're in the right, if she can't do her job as a mother and be a faithful wife, then who is she to get mad at you for wanting the right thing for your children?

Ask yourself

Why should you be stuck caring for the kids while she gets to have fun? Tell her if she doesn't fulfil her responsibilities you'll walk.

It shouldn't be your problem, there's no point being the nice guy in all this but we both know you'll buckle and become the kids "nanny" while she's off getting pounded by another man.
