not wanting north korea to be bombed to shit =/= supporting the kim government. it's about anti-imperialism and respecting a nation's right to self determination. if all the shit that the ROK and US information agencies have said about NK is true, then the evidence should hold up in international court. the united states has no right to spread propaganda about a nation which they tore asunder by invading and continue to threaten year after year after year. the stance which absolves the US of its actions while condemning the korean people is ahistorical and serves the imperialist narrative.

I'd rather not, as the last time I joined the group, although it was years ago, left a bad taste in my mouth as people acted very hostile and ganged up on users. Along with the feeling that I'd be walking on eggshells to reach a decent answer from the people there, I don't think it would be a worthwhile experience.

Granted, many users I know have gone there just to act like idiots because they heard of Sapphire's reputation and didn't care to try to discuss, but that doesn't lessen my apprehension much at all.

The Soviet Union actually did this to Afghanistan. Did you support that colonialism? They wanted to destroy Islam completely (as well as other minor religions, some far older than Islam) and force Afghanis to speak Russian. Do you support that behavior just because it was committed by communists instead of capitalist Americans? Keep in mind they did half succeed with countries like Tajikistan etc.
