at what point in a marriage do you start calling each other "honey"

When people get comfortable with each other they start using terms of endearment.

I call people "sugar" and "love".

i get that, but it seems like there's terms of endearment that are specific to marriage, which i just kind of find odd

Honey is a bit of a dated term, though. I don't think many new or younger couples refer to each other as "honey". Go back 40 or so years, and you'd see it a lot.

I always felt like babying anyone- person, pet or otherwise, was just odd. It almost feels condescending in a way I don't know how to explain. I've used nicknames that I guess were a sign of endearment, but they're not the traditional "baby" "honey" "sweetheart" etc.

I call my girlfriend "Honey" through texts, and sometimes when we're together, but it's sort of a joking thing.
