I suppose we all thought that one way or another.
Part of me agrees that businesses should be allowed to deny service to customers for any reason. The other acknowledges how fucking retarded some communities are, and it's very likely that segregated parts of town will develop based on what businesses serve what customers.
But that's kind of why we have the ability to set laws by city/state.
If things get out of hand, that's where the law steps in. If local law is being unreasonable, then you take it to the state level.
How do you legislate that, though? It's okay if only (x) number of businesses do it?
No, you sue the business. You protest.
It gets taken to court and gets resolved.
