In the Torah, it's stated that their ancestors traveled all the way to Israel (The Promised Land) and basically picked fights/kicked out everyone that was already there. Anyone that didn't worship their God was looked down upon and this view of superiority (supposedly) lasted all the way up to now.

Or any of the other groups that use their money for power today?

Historically their communities tended to be isolated pockets that didn't really interact or integrate with other cultures or communities.

Plus when you couple that with the fact that on aggregate, Jewish people have been fairly financially succesful throughout the centuries, it's understandable (not excusable mind you) why people would react towards them with a kind of "us vs them" mentality.

Jews learned the hard way when they lived in their own communities. I think they are past that now. The only ones who really hate them now are Islamists and conspiracy theorists.
