Broad question but has room for conversation,  why should one culture/sex/gender ect seem to attain a higher morale ground then another?

Why do we need political  correctness?  Why cant we just be fair and just, equal to all.

If PC just means treating people respectfully, then I don't see a problem with being PC.

Once you start getting into the realm of censorship, then we obviously have a problem.

My pet hate, is how politicians  refuse, on all these terrorist attacks to say the work 'Muslim' or 'Islam' in fear of offending a minority. No you tell it like it is.

There is almost always a call to censor, boycott, ban, and vilify people for the most insignificant things.  These are just a few recently. 

Not a new concept for the easily butt hurt, people made a petition to ban Trump from the UK because of his ban muslims comment, with over 200,000 signatures already.

Yoga class suspended for being "oppressive" and cultural appropriation.

No, I'm just saying that people throwing examples like that out and saying that it's the fault of "pc culture" is like me linking a thing to the "there'll never be a nigger in SAE" and saying that the conservative party is getting out of hand.

There's a lot of dissonance between actual government/educational representatives on the issue, people on the internet, and college reactionaries that think they're gonna save all the asians by banning yoga - that's all I'm saying.

Plagued humanity? By doing what? Was the civil rights movement a plague on humanity? Was the legalization of gay marriage a huge issue for people? Again, you're dodging the point. Whether this is new or ancient is irrelevant. SJW's tend to be young adults. Young adults who claim to be liberals are calling for the censorship of people.

That being said, you're not wrong, but progressivism always happens in stages. That, also, is nothing new. Every generation is going to be more accepting to new ideas than the previous one - that's just how development works. When you've grown with a set of ideas, you tend to be less accepting to newer ones than someone who's seen these ideas presenting for their entire lives.

You asked what politically correct people are doing wrong, you were given examples. You ignored these examples and chose to rant about "reactionaries". But tell me, what exactly is reactionary about a national coalition censoring free speech on college campuses? Seems to me like this was a well thought out plan by people to censor speech they can't handle.

You can say what you want about the extremists that think that censorship is necessary, or go overboard with it in general, or what its "become" as of late, but either way we "need" political correctness in some form or another because its the driving force for equal treatment where its needed

you can argue for extremists to tone their shit down, yes, but that doesnt mean that the core value is wrong.
