Corporation tax is a good thing.

No it isn't. The evidence is tenuous, but workers pretty much pay 60% of it through lower wages. And then there's the effect on investment et cetera et cetera.

Basically, corporation tax has a very high deadweight loss; much higher than income or property taxes.

I don't know where you get the idea that I think my opinions matter to anybody except me. Not too long ago, you and I had a great conversation regarding the EPA. I don't talk about these things for anybody else's benefit but my own, because they contribute to my interests and to my aspirations. If you want to get up on your high horse, which is what you're doing no matter how much you try to profess your own ignorance, and talk down to people for trying to develop their own understanding and insight, then fine.

But I'm going to ridicule you and call out your arrogance when you do it.

You don't have to take it personally. Although I'm a bit surprised you thought that I was only talking about myself when I said that unskilled people shouldn't be able to make decisions. To be fair, you're not really that unskilled seeing as you probably spend hours reading up on economic stuff.

I'm not taking it personally, it's just irritating to me when people - especially you - stifle discussions and opinions based on uncontrollable things like age. It's PSU-tier bullshit.

Protectionism is good. It does what it's name implies: protects. It products domestic industry and workers trying to become prosperous. Before all these free-trade agreements, Americans had jobs and purchasing-power far greater than today.

Corporate taxes are good. Corporate profits depend on tax-financed public goods: healthy and educated workforce; good infrastructure; publicly enforced respect for contracts and property rights, and so on. When corporations avoid or evade tax, legally or illegally, they free ride on the backs of the rest of us. Stop taxing them, and you savagely undermine political community. It's called giving back to what they were given. The Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy has even stated the incidence of corporate tax fell mostly on capital owners, not employees. It added that corporate income tax was among the most progressive taxes, because stock ownership was heavily concentrated among the wealthiest taxpayers.

Come to think of it, shouldn't this be in the Flood?
