That line does not really exist unless it is has gone to the level of abuse. Overall jokes can be a very powerful tool to disuss issues and attitudes. Making a joke about women getting ready in the morning or the habits of men during there um private time allow us to think about things we often do not discuss. Obviously banter among friends is usually harsher but that is something I cherish.

Really depends on the situation. Suppose a friend's grandma dies from cancer. I'm not going to make cancer jokes for a while, or at least around them.

Some things I don't joke about like huge tragedies where hundreds of people die, but I don't care if other people do.

I won't make humor out of something like a devastating loss or depression. That's where I generally draw the line.

Who I'm around generally determines where I draw the line. For example irl I usually have to put my PC cap but when I'm on here, the sky's the limit. I had some trouble at first properly filtering myself but I got the hang of it.

I used to not joke about the things I do here now but it's safe to say this this forum has changed my online behavior.

It depends on the intent of the joke. I like off color comedy. I don't like jokes designed to further stereotypes.

no it isn't if you actively try and show people the correct way of thinking about issues and basic tenements of respect for a healthy community it can stop a lot of suffering from happening to people
