When would you recognize a transgendered person as their desired gender/sex?

For option 4, this would be assuming they have the capability to transplant functioning sex organs of your desired sex which can produce eggs/sperm of the person's genes.

I'm pretty ambivalent about the gender. As for sex, they'll never be recognized as the opposite sex because it's not possible now or in the foreseeable future to actually change sexes.

You poll is based off an expansive escelation in severity. Starting from lowest to highest.

I would pick the first option, but then again, I am aware that some transgendered people don't actively announce or declare it unless it's with someone they trust.

So I have a very simple black and white approach. I call it as I see it.

Looks like a guy, it's a guy. Looks like a lady, it's a lady.

I don't spend all day looking at everybody's junk to try and figure out who they are so frankly, I'm not concerned with who has what. If their features are a majority at hinting their sex, or, preffered sex, then I will call it as I see it.

Give or take 60-80 years, if human modification and altering becomes more feasible I bet saying "never shall I ever" will seem suddenly very silly in the face of somone who is completely biologically, their sex, now changed from their origin sex.

I tried to go with Option 5 once, and they turn out to have lots of friends and hold grudges for a long time. So, I go with the first option and keep my issues to myself. Some transgendered people I know are really likable though, and not irritating types like the one that made me go for option 5.

It's also bad when their friends are all "omg what a bad person she is!" and are like peasants with pitchforks and fire ready to kill the village's witch. Which is ironic, coming from people that should be more open minded, and democratic in the first place.

It takes no effort to swap he to she for sentences, so there isn't really a reason to go against their preferences. If it's stupid shit from tumblr like Xi Xo Xe then they can bugger off and have a giggle somewhere else, but I don't see any reason to be a jackass to them for wanting to be referred to as Male/Female.

It costs me nothing to refer to them as male or female based on their choosing, but personally I'd find it odd to be using female pronouns when talking about somebody with a dick.

Option one for the most part, It's not really difficult to change pronouns, but I can understand having trouble seeing someone you've known for ages as the opposite gender and getting used to the changes and everything

Some people I've known as men too long to think of as anything else... It also doesn't help that I don't really give a fuck about gender but rather physical or biological sex...
An odd habit of mine is to not use any pronouns in regards to most trans people. When I do start to use their chosen identifiers is a sign of acceptance and/or respect.
