When discussing gendered issues, the opinions of the subject gender matter more.

Isn't it inherently sexist to disregard or think less of somebodies opinion because of their gender?
I think it's sexist in the same way that dividing men and women at the Olympics is sexist. You could argue that it's sexist, but it's also fair, because women would get wrecked in every single event, because men are just more physically able than women are, as a biological fact.

It's also a biological fact that cisgendered men have never been cisgendered women, and therefore cannot know what it's like to be pregnant. Some might find it silly for someone to have an opinion on pregnancy when they haven't been pregnant themselves, or don't even have the ability to become pregnant.

I'm sure there's better examples out there--that's why I made the thread.

It was because men and women agreed with the argument that everyone deserves bodily autonomy.
Not sure what world you're living in, but the fact it's against the law to do drugs, infants are circumcised, and a person cannot attempt suicide without the legal system trying to deter it from happening show that the US doesn't give the slightest fuck about bodily autonomy.

There is a little more nuance to it than what I initially said.  There is a different context to those topics.  Abortion doesn't exactly have anything similar to Tobacco and Alcohol lobbyists buying favors.

There's also the fact that just because someone is rational on one topic does not mean they are absolutely rational on all topics all the time.

I've asked that question many times and this is the best answer I've ever gotten

Let's face it, this is just a bullshit way to undermine research and facts in an argument.

I'd say most of the time, yeah, but I don't know if I'd make the full leap and say that it's always going to be true. I can't really think of any example where it wouldn't be the case, but I'm sure there's some instance I can't think of off the top of my head where it might not be totally accurate to say the subject gender's opinion matters more.

But as I'm thinking of it right now, it seems fair. If there was a crime scene, and a handful of people I could question about what they know about what happened, I'd value the analysis of people who were actually there in-person over someone who just heard about the crime afterwards. Similarly, if I want to understand an issue related to a man or woman exclusively, I'd say it's fair to listen to that gender a little more attentively.

The problem with the feminism example is that there are so many different forms of it. I do not consider myself a feminist, but I do believe in equality and equal pay for equal work. Some would say that makes me a feminist. I disagree with the a lot of the views of mainstream feminists, and have been berated by feminists for not sharing their views.

Regardless, someone's gender does not make their opinion on a gendered subject better or worse.
