What are some issues that you feel strongly about?

One issue that I feel very strongly about is the backwards logic that comes with allowing people who are 18 years old be able to do pretty much everything except legally consume alcohol. I just find it ridiculous that they can buy cigarettes (which are objectively worse for you), vote for the next fuck-wit to run the country, and even join the military and legally murder people, but can't buy a goddamn beer.

When my dad was stationed at a ISAF base in Afghanistan, he would hang out with the Canadians and drink beer. They made him an honorary Canadian also lol

Don't fucking get me started on this. I've been out of high school for two years and have a brother that's in middle school. I know first-hand experience that the push for standardizing education on a national level will and has downgraded education. It also forces teachers to stop teaching and doesn't allow schools to adjust on the input of parents and local community

Yep. Or, if schools are caught up with one thing they fall behind in another. For example, I went to a school with the latest tech, but the curriculums were horrible. It did have wonderful elective choices. I moved to a new school that has decent curriculum, but their electives suck and the school doesn't even have one smart board (compared to my old one which had one in every class).

I don't know, maybe I'm just using my own personal bias because I personally would never use it. I just think things would get out of hand fast if it was fully legalized, and maybe it's not in someone's best interest to start using it( then again you can say the same about about alcohol and tobacco) I'm a registered Democrat though...this is why I'm confused politically haha.

Marijuana used to be legal in America up till like the late 19th/early 20th century and was made illegal after lies about it were spread around. During WWII the government actually encouraged growing it in order for it to be used to create materials like rope, clothes, etc. It's only illegal because it's a versatile product and can relive some medical problems without having to use a crap ton of chemicals and shit

This is just my personal opinion, so take it as such.

The legality of marijuana has no bearing on my desire to use it. Recreational use is not legal in CA, and while I have used it on several occasions, I probably wouldn't in the future. I just don't like it. If it became legal, I wouldn't be any more inclined to use it than I was before.
