I fucking hate Vladimir Putin because of his "no gay propaganda" policy, which has basically put gay people's live in danger. I saw a vice documentary on it, gay people get beaten up by fascist gangs, they get outed to everyone. It's already a major taboo in that society, so they probably don't have anti discrimination policies same as here in America. I just fucking hate him, plus the fact that they assassinate political opposition and make speaking out against him illegal. Putin memes are banned in Russia. What else does this scum bag do? I'm sure the wrap list is huge, I hate hearing people say Putin is a great leader.

I don't think he quite has a cult of personality yet. He's still in a position of having to assassinate opposition and invade foreign countries for the sake of his positional stability and poll ratings.

Stalin had people making effigies to him despite the fact he was practically liquidating the Orthodox Church, which was the peasantry's only source of real information for the entire Tsarist period. That's a cult of personality.

You can assume that pretty much any number put forward by the press will be a lie. Even when there is "freedom of the press", journos are not to be trusted.
That's true, but you can look across various news sites in countries like ours and gather a sort of common theme going for them. In Russia, not so much.
