No it isn't. A person is someone with an identity--someone with thoughts, opinions, emotions, and other personal idiosyncrasies that make them an individual. A fetus has none of these things

"Kill" has weasel-ish-ly negative connotations, so I find it disingenuous and manipulative to use the term for this subject. You use the word to describe and vilify the actions of murderers--serial killers. It's for the same reason I try to avoid using my preferred term--euthanize--because it's biased for my views. A parent who delivers his or her child from a miserably squalid life is not a murderer, but they're also not a saint or a hero.

The most neutral, non-partisan term you could use is "terminate"--but I'll still use the word "kill" just to humor my opposition.

It's probably more accurate to say that (U.S.) law considers the mother a form of medical proxy with a special exception that allows her to terminate her charge's life without cause -- though that just makes it more despicable in my eyes.

TBH if you're going to get an abortion because you don't want to take responsibility for your own actions then you should be sterilized after the abortion procedure. It would be a win/win for everyone involved.
