Look at all you "holier than thou" puritans, so quick to berate a hunter but going to eat the food of the hunted. Fucking hypocrites.I say good for her, she's proud of a rare kill and it went to help the locals. I'd kill it too, pose with it, and eat it. I'm not some pussified bitch who balls up from being offended by a little hunting.
You replied to my post and failed to recognise my masterful ruse, and so deserved such treatment.
Quote from: HurtfulTurkey on May 14, 2015, 09:06:57 PMI don't really see a problem in her joy and pride in participating in such a rare hunt, since it's a very special opportunity. But see, that's a loaded statement because you are saying that killing an animal is a "special opportunity" (rather than a tragic necessity) and that joy and pride are repectable feelings to have about it.There should be nothing joyful about killing an animal. You might be proud of yourself for doing what had to be done (assuming that was the only option of course) but I don't think that was the type of pride you meant. And it's anything but a special occasion. Getting to see an endangered animal is a special occasion, having to kill it is not. I'm not trying to be pedantic; these are the subtle, yet toxic views on hunting that need to be quashed. And the difference between taking pleasure in killing an animal and not taking pleasure is a significant one where ethics are concerned.

You're a garbage person if you go and shoot some harmless animal just for the sake of shooting him, and then take a picture next the corpse smiling. That's some disgusting shit.
Are people new to trophy photos? They've been filling magazines for years.
I don't think she enjoyed killing the animal, but rather the unique opportunity.
My biggest objection is to posing with the carcass. I was under the impression it's disrespectful and in poor taste to do so.
I don't think she enjoyed killing the animal, but rather the unique opportunity. I don't know this person, but from my perspective there would be a great deal of responsibility in painlessly ending the life of an endangered animal. I'm not a hunter, but I imagine the vast majority aren't doing it out of some sadistic enjoyment of killing. When I fish I don't get excited the fish is dead, I'm happy that I've managed to succeed at the task. My biggest objection is to posing with the carcass. I was under the impression it's disrespectful and in poor taste to do so.
You have 10 seconds to justify the inhumane murder of animals for entertainment purposes without referring to "MUH FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDUUUUUUUUMMM MMMMMSS"And yeah, Giraffes are endangered FYI.

Lions aren't clean. A pack of canines are far from fast killing. Fuck getting mawled by anything, give me a bullet.

This on the other hand, was perverse entertainment that should never be lauded.I'd like to clarify that I have no problem with hunters that actually kill for food/warmth/livelihood. I take caveat with people that purposefully go out of their way to kill simply for the shits and gigs. It's morally disgusting.
That's a really awkward photo.

I hope you pussies verbally abusing this girl have never eaten meat in your entire lives, if not, you're all hypocrites. There is nothing wrong with killing an animal for food (which is what happened here).
