There should be nothing joyful about killing an animal. You might be proud of yourself for doing what had to be done (assuming that was the only option of course) but I don't think that was the type of pride you meant.

I don't know this person, but from my perspective there would be a great deal of responsibility in painlessly ending the life of an endangered animal. I'm not a hunter, but I imagine the vast majority aren't doing it out of some sadistic enjoyment of killing. When I fish I don't get excited the fish is dead, I'm happy that I've managed to succeed at the task.

My biggest objection is to posing with the carcass. I was under the impression it's disrespectful and in poor taste to do so.

And as I said, she's a prolific hunter. She won a reality tv show for hunting and frequently uploads photos of herself posing next to kills. I think it's pretty safe to say she very much enjoys it. And you know, I'm willing to entertain the thought that some hunters get a pang of guilt every time they pull the trigger. But what difference does this make if they enjoy every other part enough to keep pulling that trigger? Animals are dying by their hands either way, and that's why these people need to be criticized.

I'd like to clarify that I have no problem with hunters that actually kill for food/warmth/livelihood. I take caveat with people that purposefully go out of their way to kill simply for the shits and gigs. It's morally disgusting.

With the main being a multi hundred thousand dollar payment going to the regional government for the trip from the person partaking in the shooting. The third benefit is  on the conservation side of things, with the culling of sick, dying, or old animals helping the population grow strong.
