When I typed out the thread I either used spellcheck for furries or I ended up adding an r to it which didin't set it off.

They don't need to be. It's a fetish. It's fine that they like the art, but there's no reason that it needs to become "socially acceptable."

I feel the same way to. We tolerate it but I don't think it would ever be seen as normal like people dying their hair. It will always be some weird thing like getting your ears to have those big holes in them.

Can you honestly say someone dressing up as a pink wolf with a dragon tail because they think they are that animal would be considered normal to people outside the fandom? I highly doubt there's only a few people that see furries as normal.
