A hung parliament is literally the worst possible outcome for both the EU and Britain.

How so? Much of this election was about May renewing and solidifying her mandate for her vision of Brexit. The less power she has, the less likely it is the UK gets to continue down this path and demand the hardest possible Brexit or no deal at all. There's other ways to look at it too, but it seems like the election backfiring on May is making the EU quite happy.

I don't think the EU really cares what majority government should be leading the country considering the fact that we're leaving in the next two years, they just care that we actually have a majority government. A hung parliament is only going to impede Brexit negotiations further, costing Britain more, and giving the EU more paperwork to deal with.

A landslide Tory victory was never going to be ideal, but it would've been better than several years of Commons squabbling.
