This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.
As in, it's actually terrible. I've always kind of had poor hearing (I had grommets as a kid), and always used to love fucking around in class with a dog whistle on my phone that I couldn't hear. Endless laughs. However, doing a non-rigorous test, it looks like I stop hearing sounds when they hit 8.5-9k hertz (note: conducted the test without headphones).

Is this something to be concerned about? Most of the stuff online is to do with more elderly people and hearing loss. Is it something I should seek to correct?

Also, take the test and post the results.

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
You can't really correct it, just take more precautions around loud noises (especially constant ones) than the typical guy would.
I've got a significant high freq loss in my left ear, so I generally try to not let it degrade any further by overexposing myself to loud as shit airplane noises more than needed.

i stop hearing around 13k, also done with speakers.

if you're worried about it i would see a doctor, but you could be over reacting seeing how its just a internet test.

you admitted it was a non-rigorous test and your environment could skew the results. if its been a problem go get tested, man.

It could interfere with some jobs in the RN, but I'd advise you get an actual test administered before being concerned.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
I stop around 15-17k with basic samsung headphones. I couldn't really tell if I was hearing "eeee" or if I was imagining it by that point.

I wouldn't be concerned if it were me, personally. Then again I'm biased since I've been doing fine on my own with only one working ear for the better part of a decade now.

I lowered my volume to 10% because I didn't wanna kill my ears, but after not hearing it at about 10k I raised it to 22% and got to 13k.

What volume are you allowed to take this test on?

At 100% I got 15.5k

Ravioli, ravioli. ohat is in the pocket oley?

Oh and Das is right, there isn't much you can do about your hearing other than getting a hearing aid. I believe that you hear bad because small hairs in your ear have gotten destroyed, and they don't grow back, so you're stuck with what you've got.
