I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. There could be an insurance system, although more than likely it's privately-provided but tax-funded.

The hospitals over there charge you a small fee for use, though. That might be Sweden, though.

I'm not misunderstanding at all. I said exactly the same thing to Mr Psy a few posts up. I have absolutely no objection to privately-provided public services being tax-funded.

France has managed to develop quite a nice healthcare system that way, I think, alongside Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

EDIT: Fuck, I wouldn't want a system whereby you have to pay a monthly fee to be saved from a fucking fire. I like Milton Friedman and Scott Sumner, not Bryan Caplan and Murray fucking Rothbard.
