I only support it in the following manners:

Rape
Incest
Danger to mother's life
Child won't make it
Child will develop severe mental/physical disabilities that will leave them basically a veggie

If you're going to have sex and not be smart, then you have no right for denying somebody a life because of YOUR fuck up. There's plenty of people who want to adopt or can't have a child and will be more than happy to give it a good life.

It's fine when it's still a few weeks old.

I'm kind of indecisive on the subject, to be honest. I consider myself pro-choice, though, as I think that my opinion shouldn't hinder others. There should be an upper limit, though, of course.


Kind of an interesting side note: pigs have about the same intelligence and capacity to feel pain as a toddler, so being pro-life while eating meat is technically hypocritical.

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: "Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even one year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together."

The doctor said: "Ok, and what do you want me to do?"

"I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you, too." She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: "You see, in order for you not to have to take care of two babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the second one is born. If we're going to kill one of them anyway, it really doesn't matter which one it is, does it? There would be no risk for your body if you chose to kill the one in your arms."

The woman was horrified and said: "No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!"

"I agree", the doctor replied. "But you seemed to be ok with it, so I thought maybe that might be the best solution."

Regardless of one's ethical stance on abortion, it's absolutely paramount that it remain medically sound and legalised for the health and well being of the woman. Criminalising abortion only leads to malpractice and an increase in mortality/morbidity rates amongst pregnant women attempting to undertake abortions without the aid of a medical professional. Even if you do find it morally reprehensible, it's pretty much the lesser of two evils at this point.

I'm very hesitant that illegal clinics will spurt up everywhere. Show me numbers of the current illegal abortions being conducted and I'll think differently but I feel that's just as much of a valid argument as voter IDs are necessary to reduce voter fraud
