This guy was very politically active, for many years. I don't really think he was a victim of oversimplification. His radical ideas probably didn't just manifest overnight, but were a result of years of gradual resentment and possibly, his failing mental health.

But I do agree that the typical 140-character responses to anything political are poisonous to any real dialog.

I thought Paul Ryan's response was very surprisingly needed. Trump also called for unity, but I doubt that'll last, who knows.

If we're coming to a point where we forget basic humanity for the sake of political divide, then god help the future of this nation.

That being said, I also wouldn't base one off incident as an ever growing trend that it's coming to this.

The great irony is that political leaders are calling for unity when it's the parties that are doing this shitty fear mongering and driving a wedge between people. The media is the easy target, but the media isn't pumping out adds that look like you're running against the devil incarnate.
